A few years ago, I found two new rituals. More than habits: things I look forward to the day before.
The first is the gym, with my personal trainer Dima Solomatin at Crocus. We meet three times a week. That discipline carries into other parts of life: setting goals, keeping promises to myself and moving forward. My only regret is that I didn’t start sooner.
The second is the banya — the Russian steam bath. A sacred place. Every Thursday, I’m there for the first steam at 8 a.m., in Sanduny’s Second Higher Class section, often with traditional bath branches. New faces, a community, and a chance to let go of thoughts and everyday worries. It clears your head, I’ll tell you that.
Go to the banya. Work out. Make time for your hobbies. All the clues are in this post.
