On 23 August, I wrote about an early start and a trip to see my friends Olya and Daniel. I seem to have left out the flat tyre and the late-night heart-to-heart about life’s big questions with a traffic officer in the Dmitrov district. I made it, though. Just in time for dawn.
I hadn’t written about that fantastic dinner yet. I was waiting for the film to be developed and scanned, so I could show you a little more of life on the farm and the people behind it. Pull back the curtain a little. Let you see their faces. I honestly believe my photographs can say more than my words.
Looking back at the long journey we’ve shared with Zhazhda Krovi and SuperFoodFarm, I can see how much the whole idea owes to our enthusiasm, care and willingness to immerse ourselves in it.
Thank you to our guests for supporting us and sharing our ideas. And to our old friends: Onegin for helping set the mood, and Damate for the wonderful lamb.
We’re already making plans together for next year. I’m sure it will be something new, and even more memorable.
