Thursday matters to me. First comes the banya — a regular part of the week. Good company, a familiar ritual. Sometimes philosophical, often with a smile, feeling the heat on my skin and saying: “This is good.”
But last Thursday was special: a charity dinner at the Old Cow. Vitya Vovchik, Anton Loshchilov and Grant Zozulinsky were there, with Lera, Vlad and Misha conducting things in the kitchen.
Everything was delicious, from the charcuterie and tartare to steaks from Russian Polled and Holstein cattle. Lively conversations and easy company, visiting friends in their own place. A great evening.
