On Tuesday, I was invited to the Yandex Ultima Guide restaurant awards. The team — talented, full of energy and now familiar faces — know how to surprise you, from the welcome and organisation to all the little details that stay with you.
Two styles of cooking at the buffet, DJ Vladimir on the balcony, the hosts' well-rehearsed spontaneity and smiles from colleagues across the industry. There were no ranked places here — just room to celebrate, talk and share a love of good food. Perhaps a little of my recent time on stage added to the excitement. It’s a day I’ll remember for a long time.
