The birthday of Varvara, the manager of “Zhazhda Krovi”. I shot on a Kodak Portra 800 in low light and with one external light source. The result is warm, expressive colors — that’s why I love the film. Some of the shots suddenly reminded me of old school graduation photos. They have that warmth that is difficult to replicate in numbers.
